Renovation of this building, located at 106 Main Street in Laceyville, Wyoming County was started in June, 2005. In July, 2006 it was opened for residency.
The building underwent complete renovation and provides three apartments for the elderly.

The ‘Old Doctor’s House’ is a large 3-story wood frame structure that was last used by Tyler Memorial Hospital as a family practice physician’s office. This site now provides apartments for people age 62 or older in the rural community of Laceyville, western Wyoming County. Renovation work on this grand old building took one year to complete and was opened for residency in July 1, 2006.
The $368,000 project has taken a vacant building in a state of disrepair and created affordable and very comfortable apartments. There are two 1-bedroom apartments and one 2-bedroom apartment. The interior of this structure was completely gutted and rebuilt. All plumbing, heating and electrical systems were replaced. All windows were replaced and the apartments have been well insulated for heating and air conditioning energy efficiency. Appliances are provided in each apartment, including a washer and dryer. On-site parking is provided for the tenants.
