If you are facing an emergency situation in regards to food, Trehab is here to help you. In Susquehanna County, Trehab operates food banks in Montrose and Susquehanna. In Sullivan County, there is a location in Dushore. If you are in need, you may go to the office nearest your home. Date of birth, identification (proof of residency), and social security numbers will be required for everyone in the household. Anyone who lives in your home or shares your kitchen is considered a member of the family. Trehab can and will help you if you have no food, even if you do not have the required documents on your first visit. After signing up, you may receive food every 30 days. If you have an ongoing situation leading to an inability to obtain enough food for the month, counseling is available.
Note: Contact information, hours, locations, and drop off information are listed on the bottom of this page.
Food Drives
If you are interested in running a food drive, Trehab would be very grateful for any donations received. All food and monetary donations stay in Susquehanna County.
Senior Citizen Commodity Supplemental Food Program
This is a program for persons over 60 who meet the income requirement (125% of the poverty guideline). Each month, in addition to the regular food bank order, the participants receive a box of food consisting of cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, fruit juice, a starch, a source of protein (like peanut butter), fish or a canned meat, and a 3 lb. box of cheese. The variety of food varies. This program has limited space.

Annual Thanksgiving Feed A Friend Program
Trehab and WNEP Channel 16 have run this successful program for over 23 years. Food Drives and fundraising campaigns (for turkey purchase) are organized across the county, with the purpose providing needy individuals, families, and the elderly with a joyous holiday dinner. This program could not be possible without the help of school districts, churches, grocery stores, civic organizations, scouting groups, businesses (both local and out-of-state), and other beneficiaries.

Trehab would like to thank all of the supporters, donors, and volunteers who make this program possible.
