Penelec Customer Assistance Program
This program helps individuals with income below 150% of the Federal Poverty level. The CAP program lowers your monthly bill based on household size and income. To apply, check for your county below.

UGI- Operation Share
The Operation Share fuel fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operated by UGI Utilities, UGI PNG and UGI CPG that provides cash grants to those who are having difficulty paying their winter heating bills.
- Funds are provided by donations from UGI corporate, customer and employee contributions.
- In the last year*, UGI customers and employees contributed a total of $228,482 to Operation Share in assisting close to 2,000 needy households.
- In addition, UGI made a Company donation of $162,651, bringing the total amount given to $391,133.

Dollar Energy-Penelec Electric
This program helps individuals with an income below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. The program can help a Penelec customer receive a grant of up to $400 to be applied towards their past due gas bill. From October 1st through February 28th, the program is open only to individuals who are shut off. Beginning March 1st, the program is open to all individuals who qualify. In order to be eligible, the customer must have paid a minimum of $150 in the previous 90 days. To apply, look for your county below.
